MedVet Chicago recognizes that pets are an important part of your family. We strive to provide the most advanced medical and surgical care while showing the utmost compassion for you and your pet. Our goal is always to exceed your expectations and those of your veterinarian.
MedVet Chicago works very much like a human hospital. We offer state-of-the-art emergency, critical and specialty care to cats and dogs. Open 24 hours each day, we never close. We are open all weekends and holidays.
If your pet is facing an emergency situation, you may come directly to our hospital-no referral is needed. Our pet emergency hospital is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Pets arriving for emergency care are triaged as they arrive, and treated as quickly as possible, based on their presenting symptoms. Critical cases are handled immediately, followed by pets in urgent but stable condition.
Our veterinarians and technicians are specifically trained in pet emergency care, and regularly participate in continuing education programs to keep their skills up-to-date. We work with referring veterinarians to get your pet out of the emergency room and back to you as quickly as possible.
Pets who need intensive or ongoing medical care outside their regular veterinarian's hours can be admitted to our Intensive Care Unit for round-the-clock veterinary care. Our veterinarians and staff use state-of-the-art technology to provide advanced treatments for animals, including:
MedVet Chicago's board-certified specialists provide care that is custom-tailored to your individual pet's health needs. In fact, our specialists often teach the classes!
Pet owners can access our specialists through referrals from their own veterinarians, through our emergency team's recommendations, or directly through MedVet Chicago. We are equipped and staffed for the following veterinary specializations:
